Welcome to the EIRAC evaluation tool!
EIRAC is the European Intermodal Resarch Advisory Council set up to guide public and private investments on current Research Framework Programme in the European Union, and in Member or Accession States. Active since 2005, it developed a joint research strategy through a new and common vision for innovation and change, which consequently turned into a Strategic Intermodal Research Agenda for year 2020, and the relevant Implementation Plan.
In this part of EIRAC project, a methodology based on econometrical considerations has been derived in order to evaluate the impact of a project on the Characteristics of Intermodal Transport. The methodology has been developed for two scopes:
The software evaluation tool is an important instrument for developing and monitoring the impacts of a proposal research project, a new research project and the potential for the market up-take. It will help in estimating the potential impact of project proposals that they may intend to prepare, and to assess the potential benefits.

- the evaluation of the impact of the EIRAC Implementation Plan Topics (divided into Research Pillars) on the Characteristics of Intermodal Transport;
- the evaluation of the impact of a project on the Characteristics of Intermodal Transport, at two different stages:
- at the project proposal stage;
- at the end of a project, once results are available.
